Linda Wilmes is an award winningfreelance artist whose fine art includes several mediums. Linda began her painting career working primarily in oil and acrylic, including both residential and commercial murals. Several of these are large scale, such as the domes of St. Joseph’s Church and Pitman Funeral Home as well as four large scale canvases (5′ x 10′) in St. Gianna Church. All of which are in her hometown of Wentzville, MO.
In more recent years, Linda has focused her creative energy on watercolor and pastel, also painting en plein air (French for “in the open air”). With a wide range of subject matter including florals, portraits, religious themes, and landscapes; Linda paints what she loves and often focuses on her surroundings. Having lived her entire life in St. Charles County, MO she often paints landscapes and landmarks in the St. Louis area.
Linda can work with you to create a commissioned painting to meet your needs and desires. Linda works in acrylic, watercolor, pastel, and pencil. She is a Signature member of St. Louis Watercolor Society and the Missouri Watercolor Society. She is also a Member of St. Charles County Arts Council, Art St. Louis, and National Watercolor Society.
